2. Being able to share concerns makes the other person feel trusted and affirmed.

6. People can be surprisingly helpful. They may have shared a similar situation and be able to offer some personal tips.

10. It can be more helpful to talk over a problem with someone you dont know as the person will be more objective.

Sometimes friends are too eager to say what they think you want to hear. They may be afraid of hurting your feelings. It can sometimes cause you embarrassment later when you talk to a close friend and later feel you may have said too much or are concerned about your confidence being broken.
