We have heard many people saying that they are gifted person because they sleep well without any interruption. It is said that a person should sleep within seven minutes of going to bed. Otherwise he needs to consult a doctor. Insomnia is unheard of few decades ago. The din and bustle of this modern world and our mechanical life is one of the root causes for insomnia. The days of calm and quiet life are gone. Our life is full of time scheduled and mechanical jobs. So how do we find a natural cure to insomnia?

One has to race with time for survival and sustenance. This results in tension and worries. This in turn creates fear and allows negative thoughts in our mind. Once the mind is full of negative thoughts it opens the doors of insomnia. Lack of time management and improper work planning is another reason for insomnia. Procrastination and lethargy are the two soldiers of insomnia. One should cultivate the habit of doing one at a time It is said that

"You should do what you should do;

When it ought to be done;

Whether you like it or not."

If the above principle is meticulously followed one will have peace of mind. Insomnia will dare to touch these persons. There is an old saying which is true even now "Walk a mile after dinner". A natural cure to insomnia has been said to be to walk at least half an hour every day. Excessive eating habits, especially during night time, are also a reason for insomnia. One should eat like a king during lunch and eat like a beggar during dinner. Our way of life plays a vital role in avoiding insomnia. Planning our life within our means and leading a contented life gives us good sleep and sound health. Leading a life with borrowed funds with no means to settle them in time bring insomnia to many so if you can settle debts you may have found your natural cure to insomnia.
