Cognitive Enhancement for Humans

Author: Lance Winslow

The new buzz word in the neurological field is cognitive enhancement and all the drug companies are working on ways to provide this, while the robotics and artificial intelligence scientific communities are trying to get their first.

On one hand you have the drug companies attempting to use the human bio-system and run it at a higher level and on the other hand you have some brilliant minds on their own account attempting to develop implants and develop cognitive enhancement thru electronic and silicon human computer interfaces.

The question is which one of these sciences will win out? Or will it inevitably be a combination of the two or perhaps another science such as frequency wave therapy or conditioning? It is hard to say, however one thing is for certain, these scientists, medical professionals and University Research teams are not going to give up until they get there. How soon is all this coming our way you ask?

Well, it appears we are getting pretty close now. How soon will this be available to the public? A decade or two at most, things like plug and play memory or a PhD in you pick the subject? Perhaps a couple of silicon chips for a few languages, you name it, as the applications are indeed endless. And you will not need a silly cell phone, as you will be able to communicate via thought transfer.

Did you have problems in school with biology, computer programming, math or perhaps memorizing lines for a school play? Well, trust me your kids, kids will not be worried about such things.

They will have it all upstairs and more in a tiny chip less than the size of a finger nail; sound impossible, it shouldnt you see your grandmother saw the first aircraft, first space flight and nuclear power. Not to mention TV, microwave ovens and cell phones. Think on this in 2006.
