Having been in the auto detailing and car wash business for over 27 years I can tell you that it is twice as easy to detail a car once you have done a perfect wash job.

By perfect wash job I mean completely vacuuming every square inch of the Interior, cleaning the windows to perfection and washing the exterior including the wheel wells and rims and in between the bodylines perfectly. Giving your car a perfect car wash takes time, but it is essential to have a perfect wash job before you start putting on wax or dressings, such as vinyl dressing for the interior dashboard or rubber dressing for the bumper trend and tires.

The more time you spend washing your car to perfection the easier it will be to detail it. You should also consider completely vacuuming out the trunk and cleaning the engine compartment to ensure that later on when you get in every nook and cranny that it will look perfect and you will not be putting on other automotive detailing products over dirt or smearing around grease.
